KCC Events in March (KCC)

The Korean Cultural Center (KCC) in the Philippines kicked off its 10th anniversary in March and started the celebration with informative K content, contests and big prizes.

Amid the ongoing pandemic, KCC is running online activities and events for K-culture enthusiasts.

K-Pop Dancing Diva Dasuri Choi will take to the KCC dance stage as part of “K-Dance Power Up!”

The online dance tutorial will feature the most requested songs on KCC’s social media account. They are “Obsession” by EXO, “I Can’t Stop Me” by TWICE and “Celebrity” by IU.

In addition to learning K-pop moves, randomly selected participants have the chance to participate in an exclusive line dance clinic hosted by Dasuri herself.

Others have the chance to participate in K-Dance Power Up! Quiz in which they have the chance to win special KCC prizes.

KCC also launched its very first logo design contest. The “Kreation: KCC PH’s 10th Anniversary Logo-making Contest” is an online event aimed at serving as a platform for Filipinos to show their creativity and love for K-culture and KCC through works of art.

Participants will work on the theme “10 Years of KCC” in creating the logo and their entries will be judged by representatives from the Bonifacio Art Foundation, the Korea Research Center at the University of the Philippines and the iAcademy.

The winner will take home P 40,000 in cash and their work will be used as the official KCC 10th anniversary logo which will be incorporated into all promotional and event materials related to the anniversary and in the anniversary video due out in July.

Meanwhile, KCC’s Kolorful Adventures this year will bring traditional Korean culture to the new generation to enjoy and learn from. Korean martial arts will be the highlight in March on KCC’s social media accounts, where the center will share a notable story, basic tutorials, facts and techniques unknown to those who wanted to learn more about taekwondo, ssireum and taekkyon at home.
