First video: “The Gravity of the Goddess (No One Else Can Dance Like You)” – Chris Hill and the Stardust Crush

Chris Hill and the Stardust Crush is a Seattle music community. Chris takes care of the writing, vocals and production. There are no borders with this community, because the genre has no place here. The music runs through them as we go, drawing inspiration from everywhere. They range from Pop / Rock to Rhythm and Blues through the Middle East and Jazz.

Chris’ last song, “The Gravity of the Goddess (No One Else Can Dance Like You)” featured ambient sounds as well as a powerful piano driving the song forward. Her instrumentation and vocals offer a Pink Floyd style of music and writing with a bit of Radiohead sprinkled in it. was right there for the ride, ”Chris shares.

The song is about finding hope even when you don’t feel like it is. He wants people to know the dark times will be over, you just have to walk in the fog. In his video, he gives us images of nature, the sky and the moon. These images represent being lost and overwhelmed, as the vast forests and endless skies seem ever present and overwhelming, enveloping us in uncertainty. But every now and then Chris appears and guides us to the other side, leaving hope and peace.

“The ‘Gravity of the Goddess’ video reveals how seemingly juxtaposed things are actually connected on a deeper level, Chris shares. “Like walking in the woods day and night or a boxing movie juxtaposed with lyrics about dancing. A small rotating Earth traverses an evergreen forest located on its own spherical body… It is always at home even when it travels and so are you. You will encounter obstacles along your own yellow brick road through space, but you can overcome them by knowing your self-esteem… This knowledge is the key to the Emerald City.
