This Tuesday (1st March), the University of Manchester’s Women in Media Committee is taking us on a musical tour through the 70s, 80s, 90s and 00s. So, it’s time to dig up those sun flares you haven’t had yet excuse to wear, put on some flowers, mom jeans or neon, and head to Withington’s best XLR nightclub. Doors will open from 9:30 am until late, and with the UCU strikes happening the next day, it’s the perfect excuse for a weeknight party!
Click the link to get your tickets online for just £3. Alternatively, you can collect your tickets at the door for £5. Each hour begins a new decade; starting with 60s hits like Blondie and Queen, through retro 80s tunes like Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin’, straight into classic 90s band Oasis and the Spice Girls, and iconic 2000s hits from Winehouse to Bowie. With such a wide range of music, you can be sure to find your favorite hits amongst them – it’s definitely not a night to miss!
Also, don’t forget to get your tickets for this year’s Women in Media conference, which takes place at the end of March and promises to be an incredible week filled with guest speakers from various media positions. Buy your tickets here now and follow WIM’s Instagram for all updates!
So… get all your friends together, choose your favorite decade and dress groovy for WIM’s Time Trippin’ extravaganza. We look forward to seeing you all there!
