But the judges voted unanimously to save Rhys.
Tilly said: “I would just like to say a big thank you to everyone who made this trip such an amazing and positive journey for me.
“From everyone here behind the scenes, to the wardrobe, to the make-up and to the camera crew. It’s just the most extraordinary moment. I discovered something about myself that I didn’t know I could do, I didn’t know I could dance and have fun like that.”
She added: “So a big thank you and obviously a big thank you to Nikita who guided me out of my shell and just had the most incredible experience of it.
“It was just amazing. I really meant it when I said I had made a best friend for life. You were just amazing. Thank you for the best weeks.”
Nikita was emotional when it was revealed that they were leaving the show.
He said: “I’m the most emotional person so hopefully I won’t cry.
“I’m just grateful for everything, for the whole Strictly team, for the production team, for the costume, for the makeup, for everything. Thank you guys, thank you to the professionals and the actors, and a huge, huge thank you to Tilly.”
