8th Bollywood and Multicultural Dance Festival July 2-3

The organization of the 8th Bollywood and Multicultural Dances Festival in Greece culminates with two unique dance performances at the Dora Stratou Theater (Saturday July 2 and Sunday July 3, 2022).

With the alluring choreography of Bollywood and the Indian element at the forefront, the founder of the 1st Bollywood Dance Academy Greece Anna Dimitratou, accompanied by members of the Academy and a number of internationally renowned teachers and dancers, we has gradually led the dance tradition from the East and the West as this tradition evolves today.

Thus, we will all become “mysteries” of the eternal danced creation, bearers of the great message that Art gives birth to civilization, unites, but above all elevates man to the kingdom of joy, which is his true nature!

Big names like California USA based professional dancer, teacher and choreographer AMIT PATEL, Internationally renowned Indian dancer, teacher and choreographer SUMON RUDRA, KINGA MALEC from Poland, Famous choreographer and dancer S LAVESH PRITMANI Professional dancer, choreographer and teacher from Bhangra, VINATHA SREERAMKUMAR from Spain, PAVAN PRASAD from Germany, CAROLINA RUBIO teacher and Bollywood dancer from Spain, the Bollywood dancer and choreographer AMINE AMOURA from France, the excellent Tannoura dancer HASSAN BOLBOL AL TANNOURA from Egypt , as well as great dance groups from Greece and abroad who will travel the world of dance and movement.

As part of the Festival (July 1-3, 2022), there will also be dance seminars by great teachers, the 7th International Bollywood Dance Competition, a mini Bazaar and Indian food, a happy welcome party and well other activities.

* During the 2 major Performances of the Festival, the Urban Fauna of the Municipality of Athens (Animal Adoption Program), the Voice of the Child (Association for the Support of Children with Cancer) and the Environmental Organization WWF Hellas will be with us!

The Bollywood and Multicultural Dance Festival was first held in 2013 and was honored under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and Sports, Hellenic Tourism Organization (EOT), Municipality of Athens, of the International Dance Council (CID) and the Indian Embassy in Athens. It is organized by the Artistic Studio Oriental Expression and the 1st Bollywood Dance Academy Greece, in collaboration with the Hellenic-Indian Society of Culture and Development (EL.IN.EPA).

The Festival will take place at the historic “Dora Stratou” theater in the center of Athens, against the backdrop of the green hill of Filopappos (July 1-3, 2022) and is one of the biggest cultural dance events in Greece.
